RACE is committed to a sustainable future and green performance improvement programs and technologies. Current projects being worked by the RACE team include the development of over 8,000 acres of green campus facilities across the US. Prairie Hills will be the world’s first “Green” high-performance racing and research facility.
Prairie Hills is a 1,800 acre site in Lake Village, Indiana, that will serve as a model of environmental efficiency and demonstrate state-of-the-art green technologies. Six additional locations are planned nation-wide. The facility will include:
- High Efficiency Wind Energy;High Efficiency Photovoltaic & Solar Driven Absorption Technologies;
- Green Wastewater Treatment Technologies that will benefit wetlands;
- State-of-the-art green landscape design and maintenance;
- 100% networked, near-paperless property, and reduce and re-use strategies that include composting and worm farms;
- and Bio-fuel production
